Robert Frost Award of Excellence
Big boy Jose, the octopus drawn in 2022, won the Robert Frost Award of Excellence at Port Warwick Festival in Newport News, Fall 2022. He was one of my largest pieces at 18"x24" and drawn with Prisma colored pencils. The background was done with spray paint, and he has a resin finish. He sold at the Neptune Festival in 2023.
Award of Merit
Chuck, the crocodile drawn in 2019, won a bright yellow ribbon at the Neptune Festival in Fall 2023. He was drawn with Prisma colored pencils. The backgrounds went through several iterations, with this final version created with spray paint and acrylic paint. He has a nice shiny coat of resin and sold later in the day after receiving his ribbon.
