Kayleigh Willis

I grew up in Virginia Beach and have spent my career drawing the creatures most people walk past without a second look: octopuses moving through kelp, sea turtles gliding in open water, birds in full color, reptiles with every scale rendered true. I work in colored pencil, and I've spent years pushing the color limits of what it can do.

My originals are drawn on cold pressed mixed media paper then mounted onto wood panels, coated with a clear acrylic, UV protection, and textured resin accents — each piece finished and ready to hang the day it arrives. My prints are limited edition Giclée prints on Moab natural white cold pressed paper.

I work a day job but find myself drawing during any down time I have.
